Weirdos

He's the nicest celebrity I have ever met! It looks like I am looking at his crotch

My favorite moment ever.

I loved Weird Al as a kid, my brother got me into him. Seeing him live was spectacular! Technically, it's my first rap concert! Hahahaha........

I thought Al was growing his mustache that he had in the late 80's and early 90's back.
These pics prove otherwise.
He must have a closet BRIMMING with hawaiian shirts.

MAN I used to have beautiful hair just like that! How does he keep it from frizzing!?

"How does he keep it from frizzing!?"

If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say...Cream O' Beaver!

Was John singing along to his favourite hip-hop parodies? White & Nerdy? Couch Potato? Amish Paradise?

Seriously, though, Kali, you're far too young to dislike rap.

Awesome. So what were you looking at?

weird al is pretty badass...although...i cant help but miss his days of the moustache and huge glasses...with that image he really was weird al...now hes like...not-so weird al

'Weird' Al was my first fat Michael Jackson impersonator concert.

i think some of his songs are a little to obvious such as "like a surgeon" but my weird al faves are a tie between "white and nerdy" and "dare to be stupid".

do you have any favorites ?

Cream O' Beaver!

Sexual innuendo or not, I still say "EEEWWW!!"

Wow! You got to meet Wierd Al in person? That is way cool. I saw him in concert way back in 1995. He was indeed brilliant and hilarious.

Incidently, did Al ever see this old post of mine?

uh....IS that serious? rap is goddamn horrible!

although i'm all for weird al's version of it.

ha ha, the expresson on his face in the last one looks very...drawable. I think I might have some fun with that.

No, no, no, and no.

"Seriously, though, Kali, you're far too young to dislike rap."

Oh, by which you mean, my wise disposition precedes me.

"So what were you looking at?"

The ground.

"'Weird' Al was my first fat Michael Jackson impersonator concert."

Your second being...?

"do you have any favorites ?"

Eat It, Smells Like Nirvana...

Why does every artist on blogger hate rap???

"Why does every artist on blogger hate rap???"

'Cause some of us have good taste. Haha, I don't know.

Robert said...

Because rap really isn't an art form. Maybe the bebop of the 50's count.

Kali: it must be great to be beautiful, talented and surrounded by famous people.

I guess I just described LA.

Chris S. said...

Rap may generally suck now, and I don't really seek it out - but as a kid from the midwest in the 80's it was freaking awesome.

flashcartoons said...

i saw weird al when he came to minnesota the best concert i have ever been to

Jorge Garrido said...

>Why does every artist on blogger hate rap???

Because people who use blogger are smarter than those who use Myspace or Facebook, since blogger is more literate than the other two.

And the smarter someone is, the less likely they are to like rap.

But you like rap, Jorge! Aw, don't make fun of yourself!

akira said...

we hate what we do not know..

kali, don't know rap because a weird al concert is not technically a rap concert. that's an insult to his sweet pipes!

word to the mother!

I went to his concert in August...it was amazing...unfortunately I didnt get to meet him afterwards, even though I hung around with all the other nerds for a couple of hours hoping he'd pop out of his bus.

how the devil did you meet Weird Al? I would give my left nut for that chance

Bo Wisneski said...

Wow I haven't stopped by here in a long time. Al is so cool and down to earth in person and rap for the most part is lame.

Those are some great pictures.

I'm flying out to the USA on the 17th July, specifically to go see Weird Al gigging in Columbus and in Scranton and I've never been on an aeroplane before.. which will hopefully give you some idea how much I like Weird Al. I figured is never going to do a European Tour now. His last investigation into this saw only something like six venues apply to his management agency for details- (He's a virtual unknown in the UK, though one or two people remember "Eat It" getting some heavy airplay when that came out)
Tragic really. Europe has totally missed out on Weird Al over the years and it's only since the Internet that people are getting to know his stuff at last.
I really hope I get to meet him when I come over..
I certainly think he deserves a Hollywood Star and induction to the Rock Hall of Fame! You need to cherish him as one of the greatest assets to the USA.. Someone who makes people smile and laugh and dance, whether those people are young or old. We all need to "Dare To Be Stupid" sometimes.. and if spending your life's savings on plane tickets to the USA just to see a couple of gigs doesn't qualify, i just don't know what would!!
Happy Fourth of July to all USA readers.
Weird Al for President!
