Yo Da Leh Eee Yo Da Leh Eee Yo La Teeeeeeeee

Hello everyone! I've been working pretty hard on animating and tons of other school work. And I'm all achy and sore-throaty. Below is some presentation art and ideas for my anim.........

I ♥ Flintstones, colored paper, and milky pens from Little Tokyo.

A ball point pen drawing for my class where we're doing Beowulf. My design was rejected for not being realistic. OH WELL. By the way... DON'T GO SEE BEOWULF.

Anyone going to go see that Bob Dylan film?

Awesome. I really dig that orange drawing. Keep it up.

That Beowulf drawing looks much better than the movie itself. I personally hated that "mocap" look on the movie (I actually got to see the beginning of it).

Great draw-rings! More fun the the actual 30 cartoons!

Why wouuld anyone want to go see that piece of shit, Beowulf, OR film about Bob Dylan?

"film about Bob Dylan?"

I'M GOING TO SEE IT. I LIKE BOB DYLAN. The movie probably won't be great, but I still like Dylan enough to go see anything about him.

I heard something to the effect that Kate Blanchet was to portray Bob Dylan in a movie sometime in the future. Is this that same movie?

Cowboys and hula girls. It's an intriguing premise so far. I'd like to learn more about it.

Ya, along with 6 other actors portraying him. Should be somewhat interesting.

AHH, the Grim Natwick beast man IS awesome. FIE on Otis, your drawing rocks!!

and I am glad to be hearing that your animation is going good! I just need my voice talent soon (ahem) and then I can start on mine. :)

(did you see my Kali fan art?)

yeah, is richard gere supposed to be "new morning" era dylan?

david cross as allen ginsberg? yes.

definitely will watch the dylan film, though could be...nothing great. a curiosity, maybe.

also: that last drawing did it for me. great and hilarious. almost wolverton-esque.. "not realistic enough"....ugh.

you realise the beowulf thing is pure evil. the hell is the point of making that movie?

fuck YOU, Zemeckis. I love 'ack to the future'...but come on.

can i say "Fuck" on this blog? there's only so many apology-to-kali pictures i can do...

Jose said...

sorry, also: no one diss dylan.

someone set the mind control device to "mandatory 'don't look back' viewing" mode. and enjoy.

though the scorsese doco was kinda pointless. more long than pointless, maybe.

blah!!

oh bob. hes ok. i think alot of his stuff sounds the same but who knows the movie might be good. check out the new movie about the clash or go see control if its still playing. that movie was really good.

beowolf was no good ? ... dang i was hoping it would be at least ok because neil gaimen wrote the screen play.

le sigh........

Do you do much with ballpoint? I can't seem to draw with anything else BUT ballpoint. I never hear of any artists saying anything good about it.

I love the designs for the Hawaiian Cowboy. Its got that great rubber hose style. I'd love to see them dance with those hula girls.

Don't worry Kali, Dylan rocks, anything about him is worth seeing, even if it's "experimental". At the very least it will be more interesting than biopic boredom like "Ray" or "Walk the Line".

Anyhoo, nice work, I like the little lizard/dino cowboy!

Someone should do an animated film wherein Dylan is played by six different designs of Grendel. You can squeeze that into your workload, right?

hahah I love that yellow hawaiian cowboy! neat drawings!!

Yes.

"Do you do much with ballpoint?"

Just doodly doods.

"i think alot of his stuff sounds the same"

quick! someone give this guy a copy of 'bringing all back home' then 'nashville skyline' then 'time out of mind'. that'll learn ya.

also, i thought 'control' was boring garbage. it wasn't a movie. it was an emo myspace page.
watch '24 hour party people' instead - that has like 5 movies in 1. it make control unnecessary.

Wow! I'm really into that Grim Natwicky orange giant. The way you drew him looks really cool.

Hey, Ray and Walk The Line are GOOD movies. I can't wait to see "Walk Hard," Judd Apatow and Paul Rudd can do no wrong.

I used to go to the same gym as the big black man that wrote Ray. He was nice, never saw the movie though, don't think I will either.

Lovely art! I adore all the sketches :)

The Bob Dylan movie looks amazing. They even brush on his somewhat faux past with a certain Superstar.

I love these drawings. They are adorable. I admire your skill. I'm not gonna bother with seeing "Beowulf". I'll read the book first and be happy with that. I also like Bob Dylan. You certainly have great taste in music.

That orange picture is great!!!!

WOW, what a great Wilma Flintstone! She's got Olive Oyl arms. Barney Rubble as a real caveman, too.
Your orange Grendel would look great in a Fleischer Bros cartoon - Gawd, imagine a Popeye color film doing Beowulf:
Beowulf - Popeye the one eyed Geat
Hroðgar - J. Wellington Wimpy
Wealhþeow - Nana Oyl
Grendel - a monstrous descendent of Cain
Grendel's mom - Olive Oyl (for once , an empowered antagonist)
