Happy new year to you too!

I don't see this as selling out, I think it's a pretty sensible money-maker. I sent $10.00, I hope that's enough to warrant a caricature...I hope you get the email with the pictures i sent.
Happy New Year for tomorrow as well!

Hi Kali,

Thanks for all the comments! Have you considered ebaying some paintings and caricatures like Katie did? I remember taking student loans and working 2 jobs during college to get by, but I don't recommend more than 1 part time job during school. Good luck with the funds and Happy New Year!

You seem to love the Chipmunks a lot.

If you avoided the new movie, like I did, try revisiting the old Chipmunks movie for nostalgia's sake. :)

Happy New Year Kali. Maybe besides doing commissions you can research and look for an internship like at Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon? This would definitely benefit you before graduation!

oh kali...i feel your pain
i wouldnt worry though, i really think you could do well selling some of your art, plus youve gotten some amazing exposure through the magic of the webber-net.
such a good idea...i would attempt it myself, but alas...i think the only person taht would buy a frank macchia original is my mommy. haha

PS happy new year, and i love your baby john and baby kali doodles. really good stuff as usual.

If I had the money, missus, you'd be at least a thousandaire by now (along with all the charities I'd love to give money to). I'd also give John K. and Spumco loads of money to develop stuff. Your work (and John K/Spumco) is outstanding.

When I do have a few spondoolicks to spare (technically I'm unemployed right now until Mondy, and then I'll be emergency taxed - you UK government bastards!), I'll contribute a few - but like everyone else, the wallet merely lets loose butterflies when it's open.

I think Kali should sell some of her art. Of course, keep an original copy or two, but yeah.

Also, I heard you like the 1960 Alvin Show. So awesome. The only characters who's high pitched voices (besides Woody Woodpecker) don't annoy me.

The show had a very low budget, yet they could have an awesome band play the songs, rather than computerized or stock library music. I wonder how? My favorite Alvin show segment is "Alvin's Orchestra", Dave is pushed at his wit's end. The voice acting is top notch!

I was just in California and failed to visit you or Eddie -- well, I was at the other end of the state actually! Happy New Year Kali!

Hey Kali I love your new caricature. Those extra chins are hot on you.

At first glance I thought you photoshopped Uncle Eddie on Moe's face.

I'm there with you too, with the whole low-on-the-cash-flow. It sucks! (I'm still paying off students loans for a college that didn't help improve my art)

Hi, Kali. I still feel bad for falling through on my request. But I have been learning about Bugs construction and stuff, even some of the more difficult angles. And though I can't exactly animate him yet without making the original animators ashamed, I'm getting closer and closer. Thank you so much for posting such appealing, fun pictures on your blog all this time.
