Squirrel Hunt!!!

I MADE FRIENDS WITH A SQUIRREL!!!!!!!!

Go away pet owner(it's not the dog's fault), you're scaring my new friend!!!

The reason I was at this park in the marina was for my friend Mike T.'s coke commercial. He was the cameraman on my operation, so I helped out by holding up a reflector thingy-ma-bob.

It's a really pretty park- full of friendly squirrels!

Here is his actress, she was really nice and was rooting for me in my squirrel befriending hunt. I think Mike was a little peeved that I kept running away- I couldn't help myself!

This is a rude tree. Pretty colors and textures though!

BYE MR. SQUIRREL, I LOVE YOU!!!

Squirrels are great! But be warned.

When I lived in NY, I used to work right by Central Park on the corner of 59th and 5th - and I was all midwest-Ohio-excited about living in the "big city," so every day I would walk up and down the little park area and watch the artists do portraits, listen to the sound of the horse-drawn carriages, look at the sea lions at the zoo (probably whistling and wishing I was wearing a suit and twirling a cane), it was all so magical and thrilling for me. Well ... one day as I was looking for a little spot to eat my lunch, a cute little squirrel jumped up on my bench right next to me. In my head I was like "Wow, it doesn't get any more awesome than this!" because my knowledge of animal behavior comes solely from cartoons - so, of course, I offered my new little buddy a bit of my PB&J when, like lightning, HE JUMPED ON MY SHOULDER AND CRAWLED QUICKLY AROUND MY HEAD AS I RAN FLAILING THROUGH THE PARK, SCREAMING "GET EM OFF OF ME!!! GET EM OFF OF ME!!!!"

It scared the hell out of me and I looked like an ass - but later I found it freaking hilarious. I still love squirrels. I'm just a little more careful now.

Fantastic pictures!

I do love squirrels. Disney and Dreamworks' lots have sizeable populations of very tame(that is to say, very very pushy)squirrels; Amblin's lot had a couple that would deliberately chuck chewed nuts at the heads of passersby(it happened to me-ouch). Studios are such comfy, easy pickins for em.
But Disney's are the absolute BIGGEST I have ever seen anywhere--scary huge--and to me they're full of personality and charm. To most of my pals they're full of fleas and rabies. ; )

Heck, they probably do carry the Black Death but they're still cute!

Your pic of the Coke actress is beautiful--nice image/lighting/etc. You're a good pal to help out.
I'd say you've got beaucoup drawing inspiration here, miss!

Squirrels are cuter than humans times ten hahahaha.

I think so too! Feel free to be inspired as well! HAhahahahhaha....

Best lit squirrel on television.

So cute! And you are showing real talent as a rodent-tamer.

What a lovable little fellow.

Lovable that is until they crawl into your car engine, chew through the filter and leave pine cones inside the important stuff in your car! Then chew a hole through your garage wall!

But yeah, my grandpa had a squirrel that would come right into his house and steal peanuts if the door was open. Quite a friendly fellow.

HHAHAHHHAHAA you weren't joking with me when you told me you petted a squirrel! XD It almost makes me feel bad that I told you I ate one (just joking). Hope things are going cool with the squirrel, but remember to wear gloves when petting it as you can easily get rabies from squirrels (although better advice would be to leave it alone, they're cute but can leave you in pain and may require shots). I hope you checked out the pic I made of you dreaming of Eddie Squirrel proposing to you via Myspace. XD

Oh man I love Squirrels! My parents live in the country, so the place is filled with 'em! Once, a squirrel ran off with a piece of lasagna that my dog was eating, and that pooch hated squirrels ever since!

Congrats on your new rodent pal! Look at that head -- so cute.

Welp... rabies looks good on ya, Kali.

Why yes, squirrels ARE cute little furry things.

Except when they're going for your nuts (as to whether that's figuratively or literally is left to the reader's imagination).

I had one come up to me as a teenager and the thing was trying to attract my attention by (gently, thank goodness!) clawing the bottom of my legs - probably wanting the salted nuts I were eating at the time).

I was going to post a link to a news article about a squirrel that was swimming along in a lake before it
jumped on a passing boat it to the other side before scampering off into the woods. But the browser crashed. I blame the squirrel's ability to hack computers. Smart little critters at the best of times.

It will probably be obvious when you point it out, but i cant see why the tree is rude.

Martyn Drake said...

Cartoon_Lad - quite agree, even in my twisted and warped imagination (which IS pretty twisted and warped I tells ya) I can't make that tree become suggestive of anything other than s tree.

Oh well.

I've just seen this and HAD to update this comment thread:

Armoured plated squirrels. Perhaps you should buy one for your new squirrel friend. Nobody's going to go for HIS nuts!
