My character for a class where I have to design stuff for a video game re-design.
Le Markers.

Le Color Erase.

I found this when I was unpacking! I drew this when I was 8 years old! I loved Earthworm Jim and Princess What's Her Name. My brother and I even had a pet Earthworm named Jim. He died after a day, I think.

And doodles from John!

I switched out the last doodle- because I realized I had already posted it at some point! So here is a rare doodle of John doing John.

Buckets of rain!
Buckets of tears!
Got all them buckets comin' out of my ears!
Buckets of moonbeams in my hand!
I got all the love, honey baby you can stand!

Cool stuff Kali!! I like flower hat girl! :D
Holy Cow! That's me! Tres nice!
Wow Kali, I REALLY like the "thronegirl.jpg". She looks very much like my own style of drawing! Great folds in her clothes and nice shape lines for her legs.
Those digital painting programs intimidate me, but you did a darn good job with it!
My goodness your drawings are cute. I hope you don't mind if I ask, but I was wondering if you go to a reg. school or one geared for art/animation..
Cool beans! ..And I watched Baby Bottleneck because of your post, haha.
god, how much fun was earthworm jim?
- trevor.
Thanks for the Dylan song ... it's great! I had to know where those lyrics came from.
I don't know much Dylan (just the more popular stuff) - what album do you suggest is a good starter for a Dylan newbie?
Thanks Katie, Eddie, Max, and everyone!
Oh ya- Max- how was your bday?
"She looks very much like my own style of drawing!"
Haha- ya it does- weird!!! I channeled you at 4 am in the morning last month, hahaha.

Hi Luke, I got Otis college of Art and Design. But not for much longer!
"god, how much fun was earthworm jim?"
I never really got to play it that much- my brother was a game hog.
"what album do you suggest is a good starter for a Dylan newbie?"
Haha, wow! I didn't think that would make someone want to listen to him- cool! I'd start from the very beginning and work your way up if I were you!

Pat Said: That's funny, I didn't feel a thing!
Ok- Worst Joke Ever Alert!
"Pat Said: That's funny, I didn't feel a thing!"
That's what she said!!
Hwa, hwa, hwa!!!
I've never used PAINTER. I remember John saying that PAINTER was the closest thing to using natural media. I always wondered how John got that splatter brush effect in his digital work. It seems you figured it out on the Eddie drawing. What brush is that?
Thanks,
David O.
I met Doug Tennapple (I think that's how you spell his name) at a convention one time, funny guy. I also design videogames for a living, I can't wait to see your takes :). Maybe you'll accidentally redo one of mine (hahahahah).
Very cool I like the green little lady. :)
Flower hat girl is the most awesome ever and I usually hate cute stuff. I bow to your most awesomeness.
(I'm still feeling the effects from all the funny from reading Eddies' latest post)
Awesome!
John drawing John! Whoah!
I love your video game inspired art (like those SMW style characters you posted before), I think we should cross breed the golden age of video games and the golden age of animation more!
These are the best yet! The one at the top is TOPS!
I got my painting--wheeee! It's beautiful and I have to figure out where to put it...plus that bonus sketch--I thought Johnnie did it at first. By that I mean it is fantastic. I love it as much as the painting. : ) Unfortunately I tore a tiny bit of the corner opening the envelope(stoopit me)but I tried to fix it and it's barely noticeable but damn! It's so hot. Your brush work is killer and please please post more here!
Thanks!
Pretty cool stuff, Kali!!!
Do I detect a whiff of Zelda with your video game character?
Believe it or not- the only Zelda game I've played is the one on the Nintendo 64. Which one are you refering to so I coud go look?
I believe he was referring to the Wind Waker, Kali.

Katie Rice has some sick Zelda studies on her blog last year.
haha what a coincidence. i used to draw earthworm jim constantly when i was about 10. love that bob dylan song too
wonderful colours in that "Le Markers"
the painter doodle is interesting. I find I end up with muddy colours when I paint digitally, whereas when I use real markers, pastels or paint, my colour work is generally brighter and "cleaner". I find that odd. Perhaps I just haven't produced enough work digitally, because it shouldn't make any difference to colour choice.
