Kali, Did you see what I wrote in your LAST post about this game? I wonder what they were smokin? And the music is just as "F"'d Up. It sure is fun though!
That's awesome. Never played that game but it always looked like it would be fun. Hey what class is this? You seem to be doing a lot of drawing at your school. What are you studying?
HHAHAHAHAHAHA I was right!!! Although I didn't design the game, the company I work for "Namco" did. Oh my gosh I love your designs, how priceless and colorful :). Very Kawaii (cute).
"Is the heart girl a character you made up, or is she from the game?"
I made her up- but she pretty much follows the rules of that world, haha.
"Kali, Did you see what I wrote in your LAST post about this game?"
I sure did- and had you in mind when I posted these! You should encourage your kids to play this game everyday, and maybe you should play it too, if you're so inclined to.
"Hey what class is this? "
It's for my Concept Art class!
You work for Namco, Sean? Cool! I'm sure this game was probably made over seas, and then just translated here.
Not all games from NamcoBandai are made overseas. Games are made in the US or Japan depending on the tastes of the audience targeted. That game Hellgate : London is definitely not a Japanese production although all the Katamari series are made overseas. Other than that I can't say much more.
nice designs kali i know nothing about katamari...come to think of it...i know nothing about video games in general(hangs head in shame)...but it looks pretty trippy...seems like an intersing assignment/ class...i feel like an idiot asking...but what EXACTLY are you studying? animation? illustration?...just curious have a good one
DUDE! This is so badass. That heart cousin would have been perfect for the gingerbread level or the romance level. The other one seems a little too organic and nymphy for Katamari world, I dunno where it would fit...maybe in some freaky fantasy level. whoa...how sweet would it be to have a Brian Froud labyrinth- like level? AHH THE POSSIBILITIES.
I drifted from John to Eddie to you and have been lurking for ages. Or have I posted some comment or other? Anyway, would you like to trade blog links?

I love Katamari! (but I'm not familiar with it..) I grew to love it through pictures and artwork I found online.
Is the heart girl a character you made up, or is she from the game? Fun drawings!
I wish MY head was shaped with that. Then I could call in sick whenever I wanted, AND rule the balls.

Kali, I think because of this post Shigeru Miyamoto just came.
Nice drawings, but when are you gonna draw some REAl video games?

Keep up the great work.
OMG! I love Katamari, it's one of my all-time fave games on the Playstation.
what a cool idea to draw inspiration from this for alternate designs, which, by the way are great.
