Ain't She Sweet

We've been watching a ton of early Betty cartoons lately, and my fascination with her has overwhelmed me once more! It's been a couple of years since I was doodling her, I stopped for a while because I was just drawing her all wiggly and weird. The early design is the best, and after seeing John draw her, I wanted in on the action as well, haha.

I need to paint more, right now I do it every two-three months. Oh woe is meee!

Hey guys- sorry I can't post al the doodles I have- anything to do with work I really can't post! And I've been doing a lot of commissions which I can't show either- and I'm doing a secret drawing for Nico which I don't think I can show either!!! Sorry! I'll post my obession with Joanna Newsom drawings soon though! Loooooooove her.

Gahhh! I can't believe ya drew Betty! Haha she look so awesome in Kali-vision.

There was always something special about the early wonked up dog Betty. Those Fleischer's had it, whatever it was lol

Betty Boop (esp doggy-girl version) is one of my top favorite characters of all time. Seeing you drawing her again makes me bounce of the walls with excitement!!!! John's drawings were amazing too, I could barely refrain from drooling.

Do more Betty, Kali! pleeease?

Those Betty Boop doodles are the best.

I love how expressive her/your poses are. You draw great arm placements and stuff like that.

They should hire you to do the Betty Boop merchandise and make it just like this early design. It'd be a big improvement over the stiff tasteless designs plastered all over fake 50s diners across the world

Kali, I wrote a response about all those secret doodles, but I can't show it!
I can't believe Betty used to be a dog-like character.

You've seen "Betty Boop, M.D.", right? I love that goddamn cartoon more than life itself.

ha! Those are really nice. Who doesn't love a good dog-eared girl?

Those Doggy Boops are excellent, can't wait to see your Joannas she's amazing.

Yay! You drew Betty with dog ears. She was like that initially because she was supposed to be Bimbo's boyfriend. But, I guess when her ears fell off their relationship became platonic.

I went to see Joanna Newsom at the Disney Concert Hall about 2 years ago or so. She's great. Have you seen her live? I want to see your obsessive drawings!

Whoa Jenny, you like her too??? Awesome!

AND YOU SAW HER LIVE???

I want details.
