June Gloom

Some studies and leftovers from work. Designing is probably my favorite thing to do in the world besides playing guitar, and drinking an apple juice slushy.

Ever notice the rectangle pupils goats have? I was feeding some the other day wth Jim and John- fun! They're so cool! So everyone gets some weird pupils for the past few days, even Nico. I'll show that next time haha. Plus, Clark Gable is so freakin' hot. HOT.

The evolution of man.....

My Maude comic has turned into this huge long story, and John wrote it with me! It'll be coming soon to a Kazoo blog near you...........

It's Mullet Madness over at your blog. I love it!

I never noticed the square eyed thing on goats. Next time I'm at a farm or zoo, I'll check them out.

Here's a picture for you. It's a goats butt.

Damon: Thanks!

Marc: Hi Marc! I'm glad you liked my animals, I thought about it the other day and realized I don't really draw them that often.. well except wonderful beautiful ducks!!! -_^

David: Thank you! You should get a mullet and wear a scarf- then Nico can wear his purple visor and ironic t-shirt, then I can proceed to take a picture and send it into that look at that hipster website you always link too, hahaa.....or not. :p

Wow.. really cool Kali! Two things really stand out for me. First, I love how you refined the mullet-character ('The evolution of man'). The stylisation and cartooniness works great! Really appealing character. Is he for your Maude story? Second, I like the buzz-cut on the dog's rear back. Brilliant!

Those mullet characters are hilarious! That's the standard look around my town. haha!

Can't wait to see the Maude comic!

Hoooly crap! That Clark Gable caricature is now one of my favorite Kali drawings! You should do a painting of that! I'd totally buy a print if you did!!!

Nico: ^__^

Gerhard, Brad, Pablo: Thanks!!!

Davis: I like yours too!

Shawn: Hi Shawn! Wow, thanks, I didn't think the Gable drawing was that amazing, haha, that's the first time I've ever even drawn him- but his head lends himself to cartoonists, that's for sure!

Darby: I might have to draw him some more- he's pretty handsome...

Hi Kali, I really like your work and hope that this interests you and your readers.

I am attempting to amass a large collection of portraits of Frankenstein's Monster in as many different styles and in as many different media as possible as an ongoing art project. The only stipulation is that the size is 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches (standard artist trading card size) and that each card has name, date, location, title and anything else you care to add on the back.

I welcome cards from both amateur and professional artists.

I will be leaving blank cards with instructions and mailing address in galleries, colleges, art shops, on buses, handing them out in the street and wherever else I can think of.

If you think you can spare the time to produce a little something, please send a portrait to:

A Patchwork Of Flesh
45 Silversea Drive
Westcliff on Sea
Essex
SS0 9XD
United Kingdom

Each card I receive will be uploaded at http://apatchworkofflesh.blogspot.com/ to produce an on-line gallery, I then hope to put on an exhibition of these cards in a gallery.

I would really appreciated if you could link me.

I am excited at the prospect of a Maude comic ON THIS BLAG!!!!

Goats do have weird pupils. Last time I went to the zoo there was this goat and he was just standing. he was just STANDING on this tree stump. And he never moved.

I think what I am trying to say is that goats are freaky.

Kali Fontecchio said...

Callie:

Perhaps the goat was sedated! I am suspicious of the goats at Disneyland for that same reason- 'cause compared to a local petting zoo, they have no gusto!

He might have been just standing on that stump because he was too drugged up to experience any other emotions.

M. R Darbyshire said...

Hey I just noticed that looks like Jon Hamm next to Clark Gable... please say it's so!

I totally saw this mullet man at a Cracker Barrel in Arizona whilst on a road trip. Only he had on a fringe jacket as well. Love the blog!
