That's right your favorite mounted animal, the Ibex. John drew this delightfully happy fellow. He is among other great beasts on George Liqour's wall. Maybe someday you'll all get to see!
These are concepts that I painted a few years ago, two of a few studies. They might look good mounted on your wall o' beasts!

I like the one with the dark spots!! Whats up with all those nipples?
I love the second ones coloring style! :D These are great!
Wow! Great paintings, Kali! Are they done with gouache or cel paint or something else?
What a cute, lil' beast! Too bad George apparently can't tell the difference between a poor, defenseless creature and an absolute killing machine, so he stuffed the devils out of the creature anyway. Who knows what else George has mounted on his wall?
Cool painting and very good technique. I can't believe that was from a few years ago though. It looks just as fresh and cartoony as it was back then.
Patrick: the nipples are to feed her babies!
Tara: Thanks!!!!!
Ben: Thanks Ben! It's actually watercolor with a bit of cel paint :D
Roberto: George has all sorts of funny things on his wall, Bambi etc.
I painted these in late 2008.
I just saw one very similar in 'Honest Ed's' store in toronto. Someone clearly had great fun making a mad twisted ibex/moose/ stag cuckoo clock.
i see you had fun withj this one too

It still smiles even after it's dead?
I'm guessing he didn't realize he was being murdered.
Wow, I'm really liking the colors on the second one! Especially how you colored its tongue! They're both great though! I can't stop staring at them! Awesome job!!
Neato. I can't decide which one I like best. I'll take them into photoshop layers and put a mask on one and paint parts of one into the other.
Awesomely amazing!
Kali, these are AMAZING. They tickle my fancy so much that it died laughing.
I can't decide which version I like more.
Aw you guys are so sweet!
<( ^_____^ ' )>
Wow, these are great! I'm amazed that you're willing to sell them!
Very Seussian! Kali, you should direct the next Seuss movie.
Hey, I was amazed that you said this painting was 2 years old. Do you think your drawing or painting style has changed since then? In other words, if you were painting this today, would you do it any differently?
Thanks Eddie! Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Jorge: These were still attempts that didn't quite make the grade. I would hope that if I tried it again it would be better. There's actually a few more of these that are tinier. I painted this guy a lot!
Kali is the greatest artist I know! If one of you peoples do not buy one of these masterpieces of modern art, you're crazy and are really missing out. Everyone needs to own a painted piece by the beautiful and talented Kali!!!
HAHAHaha! Nice creature(and coloring :D).
Nipples!!!!!!
Hey Kali, I bought an Ibex. Beautiful work as usual. I can't wait to see it up close.
What project were these designed for. The Web cartoon?
Thank you!! It was for the unfinished George Liquor show presented by Pontiac!
Those are some handsome beasts!
